Seek God First

Whenever I need to make decisions and I feel down, my family would always tell me, “seek God first” or “in everything, give thanks to Him”.

My family is currently experiencing a financial crisis. Although we’re used to living a life through ups and downs, I think this is, by far, the worst downfall.

I worry because if this goes on for a long time I don’t know where we’ll get funds. At the start of this crisis, I found myself going to the adoration chapel after work to seek God’s comfort. I always ask Him why we’re suffering this much and how we can surpass this.

To my surprise, God’s answering my prayers through bible scriptures and conversations with my family, colleagues, and brothers and sisters from community.

Amidst all the negativity that’s been happening to our family, my parents’ faith never wavered and I feel comforted to be surrounded by people who are close to God.

This experience made me feel that God is always with us and He will never forsake us. I also think that this is happening to our family because He wanted us to evangelize more people through this experience.

Lesson: Seek God first and everything will fall into place.
